Latif Group made its emergence in the textile world as a leading manufacturer of cotton yarn in 1986 through its mother venture Latif Textile an Open-end unit comprising of 1900 Schlafhorst Rotors. The starting yearly production capability of 10 million lbs has doubled upto 21 million lbs. After achieving a targeted fair market share of the denim, towel, fleece and flannel industries the Group planned to move ahead and started producing Slub Yarn.

In 1991 the urge to develop motivated the Group to introduce its second venture Latif Cotton, an ultra modern Ring Spinning unit comprising of over 17136 Spindles with yearly production capability of 16 million Lbs of high quality yarn. Over the years, inclusion of new technologies and machines Latif Cotton has enhanced its capability to over 25000 Spindles and 20 million Lbs production per year.
